Kenny Cohn is the owner & founder of KEVCO Building Services, Inc. .
Kenny founded Kevco in 1988, primarily as a residential window cleaning business. Realizing a market need, the focus turned toward commercial properties and the ever-growing demands of one of the largest commercial real estate markets in the country. Kenny has built a sound reputation for Kevco that has been recognized on several occasions through industry partner awards and by nationally recognized Real Estate Association chapters, namely IREM. Kevco’s reputation for quality, safety and customer service stems from Kenny’s desire for customer satisfaction. This focus has provided KEVCO with an outstanding customer base and portfolio that we are extremely proud of. For well over three decades, Kenny has been a one of the leading figures in the window cleaning industry nationwide. As a founding member of the IWCA (International Window Cleaners Association) and past president, he has been paramount in pushing safety reforms in the industry that have been adopted by OSHA. Through years of his expanding industry knowledge and customer loyalty, Kenny has grown KEVCO’s core services to include window cleaning, pressure cleaning and parking garage cleaning services for Fortune 500 companies, Federal Government buildings and Airports to Museums, Universities, stadiums and hospitals as well as privately held properties and residential homes. Kenny grew up locally in Silver Spring, Maryland, is married with a daughter, son and one grandchild and another on the way.
Shawna ThompsonGeneral Manager
I started at Kevco in 2013 and have been moving throughout the company since!
I started scheduling in our Residential department, then moved into Commercial Operations, and from there moved to a new role as General Manager in 2020. I collaborate with our Residential and Commercial teams on how to best provide efficient scheduling and operations and work with management to develop initiatives to continue our growth as a company! Outside of Kevco, I enjoy hiking, going to football games, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my son and fiancé!
Guillermo SimpsonDirector of Operations
I am the Director of Operations; I manage all Kevco
field staff and conduct our on-site visits during service to ensure quality of work and address any on-site needs. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my grandbabies and getting back to Peru to visit as often as I can!
Robert CohnDirector Business Development
I have been with Kevco since the start of 2019 as the Director of Business Development.
Prior to Kevco I had an 8 year tenure as a Senior Sales associate with the CoStar Group, the nationals leading real estate software company.My key roles within Kevco include working with our existing customers, helping them fulfill their goals to maintain the best curb appeal and growing our core business functions across the DC Metro area. I am an active partner in all three IREM chapters in the DC metro area. I look forward to getting to know you as a Kevco Partner! Outside of Kevco I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, being a die hard Penn State football fan, cooking with the family and traveling.
I oversee and record the company’s financial data and maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
I perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly and weekly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. I enjoy hiking, hanging out at the beach, dancing, and listening to music from the 60s and ’70s.
Danny SalazarSafety Manager
I started as a window cleaner at Kevco and worked
many years in the field. I was recently promoted as the Safety Manager; I ensure all our field staff are complying with OSHA required safety measures as well as completing company safety requirements such as weekly safety meetings, daily equipment inspections, etc. My family keeps me busy, and I enjoy listening to music in my free time!
Evalyn CohnMarketing Specialist
I am the marketing specialist at Kevco. From designing and
updating the web site to online advertising, print media and general branding of KEVCO, I am the “go to” person. I work with industry and Real estate associations advertising our services to both Commercial and Residential customers. My job is exciting and challenging in today’s market as we strive to stay competitive and ahead of all the latest trends in marketing – there’s never a dull moment for sure! In my free time, I enjoy the beach, exercise walking, great restaurants, going to the theatre, being with my family (including my dog!) and most of all, playing with my granddaughter with another on the way!
Emily CaronesOperations Coordinator
I’m the Operations Coordinator for the Commercial department here at Kevco!
I schedule all commercial services and assist with the administrative tasks needed for service completion. Outside of Kevco I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors with my son, our favorite activities are going hiking and kayaking!
