The Mild Pressure Washing That Packs a Powerful Punch

Developed as an alternative to pressure washing, soft washing is an environmentally responsible cleaning alternative to general pressure cleaning or pressure washing. Using an agricultural pump sprayer or electric pump system, a biodegradable disinfecting cleaning solution is applied to the surface that emulsifies dirt, kills mold, mildew, bacteria, algae, and many other organic stains. As we have become more environmentally conscious, the new soft washing systems utilize more advanced biodegradable cleaning solutions that have revolutionized exterior cleaning as we know it.

What Is Soft Washing?

So what is soft washing really? Initially, soft washing was created as a cleaning technique for removing algae stains from roofs. When roof shingle companies said that pressure cleaning or pressure washing would void all warranties on roofs, an alternative plan had to be created; Thus, soft washing was born.

The cleaning solution is applied to the surface to seep into pores, nooks and crannies. Then, after a brief waiting period to let the chemicals take effect, a light rinse results in a clean and sanitized surface that stays clean longer and uses less water and no pressure! A pressure washing machine is often not even necessary as the chemicals do all the hard work. Because the chemicals seep deep into the surface, the soft washing lasts four to six times longer than a regular pressure cleaning. Soft washing uses less water, is environmentally friendly, and allows for safer working conditions for our technicians!

Benefits of Soft Washing

By allowing more carefully metered solutions to be applied to exterior surfaces, soft washing benefits outweigh that of pressure washing. Soft washing lets new environmentally-friendly solutions do the hard work without relying on pressure to get the job done. This process results in less pressure, less water, no surface erosion, and a cleaned and sanitized surface. Because of this, soft washing has become one of the most important changes to the exterior cleaning industry over the last two decades.
